The right mode depends on weight, volume, urgency and budget.
Sea freight
Cheaper for heavy or bulky parcels (furniture, appliances, many boxes). Parcels travel in a container; expect several weeks.
Air freight
Faster, suited to documents, clothes, electronics and urgent shipments. Price is often based on volumetric weight, so a light but bulky parcel can cost more.
Volumetric weight
The forwarder compares real weight with volume converted into kilos and bills the higher value. Colisia calculates and shows it automatically.
